How to Choose Your Waxes
Step 1. (SBC-1) Always use the base conditioners between waxing, during travel, storage and for general base conditioning and cleansing. (Rub or drip, iron in). (SBCG-1) – Enrich/replenish graphite bases in cases of aggressive wear and after grinds. (Rub on, iron in.)
Step 2. Use the Additive Line of high-fluoro’s by rubbing-on and ironing in to reach your top speed quicker. This is your First Layer (Rub on, drip second layer, iron in together).
Step 3. Next determine your humidity level. If low humidity (under 40%) use the zero-fluoro (ZF) waxes as the Second Layer. If high humidity (over 40%) use the graduated-fluoro (CF) waxes as the Second Layer. Be sure to use the correct temperature waxes.
Step 4. Then, decide whether you’re going to use the overlays as the Final Layer. They come in solids and powders. If using the powders, be sure to apply the appropriate solid overlay (RS) before using the powder overlay (RP) for best results. If you’re looking to go really fast, the overlays are a must. If humidity is (over 40%) and you have one overlay to select from, the powder (RP) is preferred. The solid overlay (RS) will always boost performance and performs in all humidity levels. For best results use both together. Apply the appropriate solid overlay (RS) before using the powder overlay (RP). Watch out, these overlays will make you fly!
Make yourself stand out! There are many variations on waxing depending on local conditions, temperature, humidity, season, crystals, your attitude, etc. Be sure to test your wax prior to competition, ask questions and be open to suggestions from knowledgeable peers.
Read the wax chart as a guideline. Play with different layers of waxes that work well in your local area. The more you test, the more you learn, the better a waxer you become and your friends (and competition) start looking to you for their wax guidance. You become a local icon, people start smiling at you on the street for no reason, you marry a model and make millions of dollars...and all because you used RaceService1 Wax. Now that’s a good investment in your future!
